I am plot-blocked on two fics whereas cheerful fluff is cheerful and coming along swell. This is problematic since classes start next week. Speaking of which I already have homework for next week, but it's for my Early Modern Drama class which I am super looking forward to because I couldn't be nerdier if I tried. So.

Favorite Person: Erik. Damaged, dangerous Erik who can still the beauty in blue people.
Least Favorite Person: Hmm. Toss up between Angel and Hank. However, Hank was a self-loathing dick (and I KNOW the events of this film were supposed to make us believe that he would change into the awesome, empathic Beast we know and love, but...I wasn't convinced.) And Angel was beyond undercharacterized, but we have no reason to think she ever hesitated about overlooking Darwin's death/disappearance, which, y'know, HE TRIED TO SAVE HER LIFE.
Prettiest Person: Armando. So pretteh.
Most Beautiful Person: Raven. Pink or blue, I LOVE HER.
Person I Want to Marry: Raven. See previous.
Person with Whom I Want to Be Best Friends: Charles. We could bond over being academics and ugly comfy cardigans.
Favorite Pairing: Charles/Erik, the more fixit and AU, the better.
Unpopular Opinion: ...I don't think I actually have one in this fandom? I could be wrong, though.

Favorite Person: Jim Kirk. Was there ever a doubt?
Least Favorite Person: J.J. Abrams. He counts right? Cos the unrelenting mysogyny and racism are his his fault.
Prettiest Person: Nyota Uhura. So pretty.
Most Beautiful Person: Karl Urban. Kind of painfully so.
Person I Want to Marry: Jim Kirk, my beautiful brilliant broken boy.
Person with Whom I Want to Be Best Friends: Scotty and Gaila. We could make sandwiches and gossip.
Favorite Pairing: Kirk/McCoy.
Unpopular Opinion: I adored Uhura, though I wished she could have been more than the Girl The Boys Fight Over, and I *really* like Spock and Uhura as a couple. They are like that grown-up, married couple who somehow manage to get a house, have real jobs and kids and stuff while the rest of us are scrambling to get out of school and live in one room apartments with our cats.

I love how you mixed actors/crew with characters :) And yes, Scotty and Gaila would be the best friends ever to have!

Also that is EXACTLY how I see them. They're the matured stable ones that will be mom and pop for everyone else!

Least Favorite Person: Movieverse Jane. I would like to hatch a plan to have the 2010 animated Jane supplant the 2011 movie Jane.

Person I Want to Marry: I dreamed about cuddling with Loki, but fwiw I basically did marry a less-suave Tony. SO.
Person with Whom I Want to Be Best Friends: Darcy. We would be epic besties. Alternatively I'd just have a pathetic crush on her.
Favorite Pairing: Steve/Tony, with Darcy/Cint close on their heels.
Unpopular Opinion: I actually didn't care overmuch for the Captain America film: I liked it okay, but my expectations were so high and--yeah. But it's grown on me, and while it still has its weak points I like it more now. There. That's an opinion, right?

It was a superhero movie TODD liked, I was expecting like, I dunno, some kind of Marvel revelation or something.

Todd liked it because it's about the anti-jock triumphing over meatheads and skinheads.

Least Favorite Person: Elrond. Dude, all you had to do was just PUSH Elendil into Mt. Doom and save everyone some trouble. What even?
Prettiest Person: Faramir. How the man looks that pretty and groomed on the battlefield all the time, I never understood. Perhaps he is part elf?
Most Beautiful Person: Arwen. Grace and starfire and Liz Taylor.
Person I Want to Marry: Eomer.
Person with Whom I Want to Be Best Friends: Legolas. I want to learn how to be an elf-ninja.

Unpopular Opinion: I never bought the "Smeagol was more sinned against than sinning" argument. I also wasn't a huge fan of Aragorn ending up with Arwen, particularly after I read the HoME and found in previous drafts he ended up with Eowyn.

I think with Smeagol (baring in mind this is the first real analysis of it for me haha)is that it helps show what Frodo has in store if he doesn't give it up, because Smeagol was just like him, except he kept on slipping and then became Gollum. I wouldn't see him as sinned against, simply because yes the ring was an influence on the first murder, but that instinct to do so must have been there all the time and just magnified. But I could be talking out of my arse XD

And oh he did? That is interesting :)

Yeah there's a couple of earlier drafts where Aragorn ends up marrying Eowyn and living happily ever after, and then there's one where she dies on the battlefield so he never marries anyone cos he's all brokenhearted.

Ahhhh, now that is interesting. I mean, I never really saw Aragorn and Eowyn as right for each other (more BFFs than anything), so it's interesting to see how the character development of them both changed in the drafts :)

See I don't think they'd ever be BFFs: if anything, that would be Merry for her. I think there's too much hero worship and even when she realizes (if she ever does) Aragorn is really a mortal man it would still be tinged with "He's the King!" super-loyalty etc.

I also thought that the possibility of an Aragorn/Eowyn relationship would have been more interesting in developing Aragorn as a character, because he's such a young man when he falls for Arwen and there's all this mythic stuff in his mind about perfect love and Beren and Luthien (and I think some of that is true for her as well) that I don't think that "real life" would have really suited them all that well. Whereas Eowyn has spent pretty much all her life running a keep and everything, she would have been a true partner to him.

Correction. Elrond just needed to push Isildur. Elendil was already dead.

I have to go with Denethor as my least favorite person, though the movie did make him seem worse than the book. In the book he still had a kingly quality to him, just overcome with despair that led to his final insanity.

Ooh, good point. Denethor was all kinds of argh.

Unpopular Opinion: I have seriously mixed feelings about Chuck being God. I think I would have been more cool with it if "Swan Song" had been the finale, but apparently he's just cool with the angels running amuck and stuff. That kinda puts him in Preacher-esque douchenozzle territory.

*dives in* Personally, if they had ended on "Swan Song", SPN would be the most epic series since sliced bread as everything tied up and worked, even if no one really won (and THE ANGST AND FAMILY OH I LOVE IT).

IKR? I'm glad it got renewed and I hope it will be again, but "Swan Song" was just so damn tidy, and such a high note!!!!
