caitriThis book got the Pulitzer Prize? I am now totally convinced these things are achieved by lottery. Scott loaned me this book to read during the Superbowl last week, and I took a break as I just got too annoyed with all the characters and so forth. I probably haven't been this annoyed with a book since Charlotte Simmons.
My reaction is partly my own fault: I prefer novels where I can emphasize with the characters. With this one I just wanted to beat them all to death with baseball bats.
I know it's supposed to be funny. Bits of it even were. But still. Yeesh!!
