caitriJust saw Solomon and Gaenor which is one of the more unrelentingly bleak movies I've seen lately. Kinda like Brokeback Mountain except with a Jewish guy and a Welsh chick in the 1800s. Or maybe the 1900s. Honestly, who can tell, it's Wales and all you can see anyway is sharp rocks.
I'm really depressed now, even though I am still trying to fathom the brains of a guy who'd cross a mountain in the winter for love but forget mittens, hat, and a decent coat. Suffice to say he died of pneumonia/consumption/sheer depression.
Oy.
