Review: The Lake House

caitriLook, I like Keanu Reeves. I know I'm in the minority on that (probably rivaled only by the number of people who loathe Steven Spielberg...unless both number only one and that's you know who) but honestly, who else can do both man-bimbo AND Jesus? So anyway I went to go see his new flick, which is sort of a time traveley story in the manner of Portrait of Jennie.
Btw, I LOVE time travel stories. They make up a mildly obscene percentage of my favorite books (Time Traveler's Wife, the Outlander opus, dabbles in Darkover and Pern...etc).
Okay back to the point: it's a decent movie. I've netflixed the Korean original Il Mare (no I don't know why a Korean movie has an Italian title) and I'm interested to see how they compare. I think they tacked on a happy ending to this one to make people go see it cos the ending was exceedingly abrupt AND made a large paradox/plot hole.
Anyhow I'm chomping at the bit to go see Superman and the new Pirates of the Carribean movie. Geeker joy!
