Dress Thoughts

Now that it looks likelier we won't have a garden venue I'm thinking of buying a dress rather than using my sister's--it's pretty, it's just huge and I don't fancy traipsing the city in a Spanish galleon...

Here are some thoughts...

You can get the Spanish galleon cut down, too, if you wish. So it could be more like a Spanish rowboat.

Well, I'd honestly have something simpler, like a pretty summer dress sort of thing. Before my sister volunteered hers I was actually looking into using a bridesmaid type dress even.

I don't think the Spanish galleon would cut down well either--it has this humongo train thing it's all modeled around. I keep rethinking it: on the one hand, yay saving money. On the other, I want something more "me." I tried it on for the gaming group girls and they all really loved it, but I'm just not fru-fru....le sigh.

You should pick what you like. No arguements. And if you like simple, then simple it should be.

Any pictures of the Spanish galleon? I curious now.

Tons of people pick bridesmaid dresses for their wedding dress. Waaay cheaper.

It's an Oleg Cassini from several years ago. This (http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=1624&prodgroup=127) is pretty close though. The Spanish galleon is a princess (or is it Basque??--the one with the pointy waist thing) cut and even more embroidered train.
