Why Star Trek Needs a Break
Oct. 23rd, 2004 09:06 pmBecause they are recycling everything, that's why.
I saw film TEN, Star Trek: Nemesis on tv today. How shall I count the recycled plots?
1) Messed up clone. (Did it in second season ST: TNG.)
2) Mental threesome/mind rape. (Did it in fourth season ST: TNG.)
3) Main character croaks in self-sacrificial way, yet leaves an opening just in case the actor needs to return for another pay check. (ST films 2-4.)
That's a lot for a 90 minute film. Like, one plot per half hour segment. Come on!!! Just let the franchise take a break! Or else get some new and better writers that can take it to COOL places!
Whatcha think about THAT, Paramount??
