1) The library put up their stupid "Free checkout!" sign again. I swear, if it wasn't right by the main desk I would deface it--it makes me laugh because it is so stupid. Hello, it's a LIBRARY. It's SUPPOSED to be free--that's the POINT.

2) People who think there are gender-based forms of journalism, in that men want to argue and women just wanna be wiked. Oh what bullshit! 1)Op-ed columns aren't supposed to objective. It's why they are fucking opinions. 2) I don't know who the hell these people are reading but when it comes down to knock-down-drag-out writing, women give as much hell as the men do and sometimes more. And if there are more male journalists, doesn't that say a hell of a lot more about corporate media hiring policies than female journalists? I'm just saying. 3) The "women are nice" issue...um, what century are they living in? Because I don't think it's this one. Show me a nicey-nice woman in journalism--real journalism, not Oprah or The View or any of those stupid interview shows, that's not journalism that's filler, sorry--and I'll show you some magic beans I got growing in the backyard, okay?

Okilidokily then. So in other news, I may get to end my therapy soon. That's pretty hands--save me a commute to DC, plus some dollari which I could really use. That's nifty.

Spring Break is next week and I'm going back to GA Friday night, but I'll be back Easter morning. Good: I can skip lengthy familial outting. Bad: I miss the communal feasting.

Jim's birthday is coming up and there is much plotting afoot. Mwahahaha!

Kinda sad, kinda funny: Andrew called my Mom yesterday as he allegedly needed the Toccoa zipcode to mail the dvds--he's had my address for what, nine years now? And he only needs the zipcode now? Uh-huh.--and apparently ended up having a lengthy chat with my Mom about his various woes. I feel bad for him and I'm glad he can go to my Mom for, well, mothering, basically, as god knows his family isn't that helpful usually. The funny was when he told me all about he made it like my Mom talked and talked (as she is wont to do, fair enough, and we've joked about it often enough), and when I talked to her she said he did most of the talking and she did most of the listening! Heh! There's viewpoints for you.

So tomorrow I get to look into buying my graduation cap and gown! Well actually I'm hoping I can skimp out and just get the tassle and the masters' hood (whatever that may be) as I have the standard black robe and mortarboard from UGA still. For whatever reason, the Library Science color is "lemon." Not "yellow," "lemon." Go figure.
