Today was my last "official" day at LC, and it wasn't even a whole day, so I got to come home early and read stuff for that last paper. I do have a tentative title though: "Pandora's Box: Meditations on Restrictions and Access." Likey?

Today's find of the day was some WW2 memoirs featuring a chapter dedicated to the soldier's $5 education by a Tijuana whore. I kid thee not. What's more he called it his $5 education, too.

Andrew was being cranky and self-pitying today. Again. Sometimes I just want to shake the crap out of him. Grr, I'm just protective of my friends and hate it when they're miserable, but there's nothing I can do here and what's more I BEGGED him to get out of the whole mess when it started. Yeesh. /rant

Oh well, at least it's Stargate Monday.

Apparently aging Vietnam veterans are starting to feel all guilty about littering the country with little bastards and subsequently abandoning them.

A nice quote:

Last month Rafael Pagan, a former Army quartermaster, returned to Long Binh Army Base to look for a girlfriend he had last seen in 1969. "I loved her and she was pregnant when I left, so I still feel responsible to help my child," said the 60-year-old, who is now a store clerk in a New York hospital. "The problem is, I don't remember her name."

A fucking prince, no?
