Existential Validation
Aug. 9th, 2005 07:39 pmToday was a good day. At work I was surprised when my boss told me I had mail. Since I don't really get mail at work I asked who it was from and he said no return address, and to come pick it up. Well I did, and lo and behold, it was a gift certificate as a parting gift. Awesome surprise! (Gee, I wonder if I'll buy books with it...hmm...)
Then later my Mom called from the public library back in Toccoa. She'd gotten to talking to a woman who was trying to study for the ASSET test (something like the ACT) but wasn't sure what to do. So I bopped about online and very quickly found some study guides for her and stuff. So now we know: two years of hard work, and I can use Google. o_0 All the same she was very happy and appreciative and I was glad to be of use and everything.
Existential validation is nifty.
