Summer Reading
Aug. 16th, 2005 04:10 pmCheck out the extraordinary claim about Bush's vacation reads. Bush got an ADVANCE COPY of a translated biography of Alexander II? Did anyone tell him they don't make cliffsnotes for those?
In the meantime I've started Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, the new Foer novel. So far it's awesome: the wonderful bastard child of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime and House of Leaves. Yes, I have a horrible weakness for experimental, slightly postmodernist novels. I can't help it.
I wish I had some cool deep thoughts but honestly I slept like crap and then got up at 6am to give Jim a tour of the UMCP campus. The funny thing is I'm not even tired-tired (or wired), just here. Bleh. And trying hard to think of something extra-good for dindins.
