Busy Busy Busy
Oct. 19th, 2005 06:49 pmWorked last night with no problems and actually gave my first real instruction class to a bunch of first years! I think it went well. Anyhow, my supervisor is letting me work days for the rest of this week and next week while I remain in the ghetto. Yay!
Actually have invites to *two* Halloween parties but since they are on my moving weekend I don't think I'll be able to go: too hard with finishing packing and picking stuff up etc. Yeesh. But there's always next year, right? Right!
Silly patron of the day story: there's a guy who comes in almost every day wanting me to find books for him. He doesn't want to use the catalog or look in the stacks (such as they are) by himself. Today he says, "How am I supposed to find anything? You don't have anything labeled!) So I pointed out those little call numbers on the spines, that are all alphabetical...Still don't think he got it though. Wow.
Got a call from the realty and I'm officially approved for my new place, which I knew but is still immensely cool and cheering. Next week I can go finish my paperwork and pick up keys and stuff. Still in my furniture quandary though, but working on it. *optimism!*
