Halloweeniness

I'm easily pleased. I went to CVS this morning to buy Halloween cards and they had a thing if you bought three cards you'd get a cute Halloween bear! So now I have a cute bear dressed like a witch and am in happy nerd joy.

Halloween Party! My place! Sunday the 29th, 2pm. Costumes encouraged but not necessary. I shall be going as a cute goth girl, as I know that is such a stretch. ;)

Review: Julie & Julia: 365 days, 524 recipes, and 1 tiny apartment kitchen

This is the book version of Julie Powell's blog, dedicated to spending a year cooking all the recipes in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I love this book as I, like Julie, can do all of the following things:

1) Have bizarre incidents in the kitchen.
2) Use expansive profanity before, during, and after said incidents. E.g. Eggs go plop on floor: "Aw fudge." I cut myself: "Aw fuck." Smoke alarm goes off: "AW FUUUUUUCK." Etc.
3) Obsess about Buffy the Vampire Slayer, use it as comfort tv, and generally use it to reference most of everyday life.

End result: I now wanna learn French cooking. Pity poor, poor Scott.
