Doris Lessing Wins the Nobel!

I am deeply excited by this! I am somewhat bugged that the Salon blog puts George R.R. Martin in the same breath as she, Ursula K. Leguin, and William Gibson though. While I enjoy the "Game of Thrones" series much in the same way I enjoy "Desperate Housewives" (as in "I-can't-believe-I'm-watching-this-but-it's-so-damn-funny"), Martin writes like a fifteen year old with ADD and a boner. Seriously, reading Lessing's The Golden Notebook is up there with reading, say, just about anything Russian. It's hard, it's kinda boring, but you know you're getting something with every dang page.
