SF Goings On
Feb. 3rd, 2012 01:46 pmFirst off, I have a blog post over at the Cushing blog about the passing of Ardath Mayhar.
I've also gotten an invite to ApolloCon, which immediately follows both RBS and RBMS, so I think I can do it but dear gods will I be tired. I have until the 15 to make up my mind though. I may also see about either wrangling an invite to GeezerCon or at the least getting some Cepheids over for a tour of Cushing Scifi. (YOU KNOW YOU WANT IT.) Also trying to get in some early promo for Deeper Than Swords for LSCIII and am getting pressure from marketing for some more firm plans--hey guys, I'm working on it, and I'm also waiting for word from some other people, soooooooo be cool, okay?
(God, doesn't all this make me sound busy and important and like I know wtf I'm doing? I laugh, I tell you, LAUGH!)
Also also, my Dean stopped by and the President has approved my tenure, so all I have left now is for approval from the Board of Regents when they meet in May, so I'm supposed to hear from them in early-to-mid-May on that.
ANYWAY. In what I jokingly refer to as real life, my Mom will be visiting for the weekend and I will be balancing her with homework. I'm planning on getting my main reading done tonight before her plane arrives. Also, laundry. Keep your fingers crossed for me, yeah?
