Writing Things
Sep. 24th, 2013 10:52 pmSo I forgot to post the link to my most recent column over at Amazing Stories, about Pamela Dean's Tam Lin, which is my favorite back-to-school book. I am behind on writing columns for AS, because of a combination of writer's block, being freaked out about the flood, and just general "Ack!"ness. (So if anyone has any ideas for things to write about regarding fantastic literature, that would be appreciated. Really, really appreciated. Just sayin'.)
It was suggested to me over at facebook that I should get a blog with my own domain name, which I could use for my scholarly professional whatsis purposes, and that does have its appeal--will likely be useful when I go back on the market too. On the other hand, I'm afraid writer's block will afflict me more... On the other hand, I could post a bunch of my talks and such and work on reforging my academic identity, and that definitely has its appeal. Any thoughts on this?
