Method Writing?

I've been playing the LOTR films in the background while working on the LOTR fic. It helps me get the cadences of the characters' voices right. I've pulled my copy of the book out and have it on the futon with my Writer's Complete Fantasy Reference (what do you call the thingie on a dude's leg? etc.) and Lady Sylvanas, who is most supportive.

I'd hoped to get the story done this weekend. It keeps getting more involved. Oof.
