I dropped out of stbb. This doesn't really mean all that much as I will still keep working on my stories, but with RL deadlines imminent it helps me feel ever so slightly less stressed. In a couple of weeks I'll be a grad student again AND turning in my tenure box and preparing my presentation, and I just want the illusion of breathing space.
So. Todd, Laura, and I finally finished that paper we've been working on for the past year and I submitted it today. I'm aiming to get my solo paper on Star Trek slash finished and out before classes start.
I also sent a bunch of random requests to the ILL department today, because that gives me such a feeling of schadenfreude. For your entertainment:
*Fear : the world of fantasy and horror: Marion Zimmer Bradley Interview
*Government and religion of the Virginia Indians
*Idols, priests, and rainmakers in Virginia (1705)
*Powhatan lords of life and death: command and consent in seventeenth-century Virginia
*looks innocent* What? It's perfectly normal reading material!
