caitriJust finished reading Jennifer Government by Max Barry, in which amongst other privatization-run-amuck wackiness schools have been co-opted by Mattel, McDonald's, etc. Then I see the News cover story at Salon and it's about how Microsoft is putting all this money into new schools that will do holistic learning and lots and lots of laptop usage.
I can't decide if this is ironic or merely QED.
