Review: Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest

Honestly a bit bummed on this one. It took twice as long to make it and the effects and writing were worse. WHY?? They need to cut out about a half hour at least and toss the "love triangle" subplot. There isn't a love triangle going on with Jack, Elizabeth, and Will because Jack is GAY and no one has any chemistry at all!

The reveal at the end was quite nice though. Um, this is unrelated to any of the above, by the way.

There's a gag after the credits but not worth sitting through the twenty minutes of said credits for. And once it sinks in, it's kind of a bummer, too, at least if you like doggies.

I completely agree with everything you said. S and I kept looking at each other throughout the 2.5 hours and whispering things like "Are you sure we're in the right theatre?"

Also, the "love triangle" can totally bite me. That's just plain lame.

My favorite character was Tia Dalma, actually. My least favorite character was the greenscreen, which got so much screentime that it officially qualifies as a character.

Between this and X3, I'm seriously hoping that Superman can make the fun geeky movies of the summer avoid total suckitude.

You NEED to see Superman, it really blows everything else out of the water thus far. Although I still like X3.
