More Love for the Book Thing

Scott and I went to The Book Thing in Baltimore this afternoon. We picked up around fifty free books, a number of which are going to the bookbar in his house (another trip or two and it should be done. His first drink from it should be a pina colada. :D). I picked up a couple Maeve Binchy hardbacks, Dan Brown's Angels and Demons (friends say it is WAY better than da Vinci Code, so I'mhappy enough to read it without paying for it!), a signed book based off the Booknotes tv show, anda fair bit of miscellaneous fiction.

We're heading shortly to go see A Scanner Darkly. More on that later.

My boyfriend and his projects are working on a project like this (http://www.vestaldesign.com/projects/bookbar/). They are most ways done in terms of height, so it seems, they just need to do actual assembly and then get a plank of wood or plexiglass to place on top. He worries the people at the Book Thing would be offended that all their 1970s encyclopedias and 1980s economics textbooks would be put to such a purpose; I think we should send them a picture cos it'd be cool. :)
