More Adventures in Walking
Sep. 11th, 2006 05:55 pmToday I'm walking down the street doing my Monday errands, when this guy walking in the opposite direction gives me an odd look, then stops me and says, "Hey, are you that missing girl?"
To which I reply, "Um, not that I know of."
Short story shorter, he'd read an article in today's City Examiner about a missing UM student from Rockville, and he thought I looked like her. "Glad you're okay though!" he says as he continues on his way. So I go find a copy of the relevant paper to find my doppelganger. Somewhat disappointed to find that we don't look too much alike--basically our similar traits are limited to being white, and having brown hair and glasses. She was heavier than me and given to flowery clothing.
Kinda darkly funny. I guess it's mostly a comment on how few people wear glasses these days or something.
