Family Drama, Part Deux

My sister in FL who previously stated she wasn't coming to my wedding because the trip from FL to MD would be too expensive has now told my Mom that she feels I have "ecclipsed" the other siblings to Mom (i.e. she likes me better or something). Mom's pretty upset about this accusation and I'm just bewildered (great moments in "do whaa?). Mostly I wish she had the balls to say this to me directly instead of to Mom, however she has this tendency to never "recognize" my number on Caller ID and thus not pick up (or leave on answering machine). Whatever.

Strangely enough, I'm less annoyed now because jealousy is more honest than manufacturing bizzaro expense numbers (it costs $3000 to go from FL to MD? Since when?). But it's a strange and petty thing.

Sometimes (a lot of the time?), family is obnoxious.

I am sorry that now is one of those times for you. I have it on excellent authority that chocolate heals all wounds. And, um, time. With chocolate.

Four--three sisters, one brother. I wish I knew what the deal is. Also I'm really shocked at the childish behavior.
