This One's for Erin and James

If you're the praying sort, spare a thought for my friends Erin and James in the coming days. Erin's grandmother, who has been fighting cancer for a couple months, announced that she's refusing to do a second round of chemo. Her doctors say she has more than a week but less than a month. Having watched my dad and uncle fight and lose to cancer, I think it's a brave and good thing for that woman to meet things on her own terms, but I can also see it's a helluva thing for her family to deal with. My friends will be going up to Ohio at the end of the week to see the family and start to deal. My best thoughts go to them.
