I found this article amusing. Others on one of my listservs were kind of insulted and one snootily pointed out that they MUST be classifying EVERYONE who works in libraries (rather than just degree-holding librarians) to get their percentages. Personally what I find stressful are the pills who insist that their late fines are conspiracies (cos, yeah, I'll totally check a book out to you and then make it overdue without you knowing it so you'll cought up $3...boy do you overestimate my free time), people who don't understand that they can't eat their takeout with open cups right NEXT to computers, and other walking arguments for contraceptives.

Although something must be said for getting out of the stacks once in a while, as I am turning into the sort of person where if someone asks "can I have that typography book..I think the cover is red or green or maybe white"--and even though the cover is BEIGE I still TOTALLY know the book.

Me need get out more.

Just saw Solomon and Gaenor which is one of the more unrelentingly bleak movies I've seen lately. Kinda like Brokeback Mountain except with a Jewish guy and a Welsh chick in the 1800s. Or maybe the 1900s. Honestly, who can tell, it's Wales and all you can see anyway is sharp rocks.

I'm really depressed now, even though I am still trying to fathom the brains of a guy who'd cross a mountain in the winter for love but forget mittens, hat, and a decent coat. Suffice to say he died of pneumonia/consumption/sheer depression.

Oy.
