Huzzah and Happy Day

I finished writing my share of the thank you notes tonight. Scott is behind and tends to walk around the house holding a pen and grumping, "It's not fair. You don't have to bullshit as much as I do." I pointed out that I do in fact have to bullshit, it's just that I'm faster at it.

Anyhow, we kept morale up by talking up the letters we *wish* we could write, e.g. "Dear So&So, Thank you for the lovely thingie. We aren't sure what it is but we've been using it as a watermelon holder. All of our friends comment on what a wonderful watermelon holder it is. Love, Us."

So yes we're evil but that's why we have more fun.

Heh. Most of ours were bullshit, too. There were a few we had no trouble writing (y'all's among them), and a few that got put off a loooong time because of the sheer amount of bullshit required.

My imaginary letter was "Dear So-and-so, thank you for the single hand towel. You could dry your hands on it, I guess, when you come to visit us. Except that you didn't include a card or a note, so we don't actually know who you are. But thanks anyway!"
