5) I don't think it makes sense for the starships to be built planetside: how are they going to get off the ground with the engines where they are? (We can already intuit they can't as is because of the whole saucer construction thing as witnessed in ST:TNG.)

6) I love that Simon Pegg is Scotty.

7) I'm not sure how I feel about Uhura's toplessness.

8) Hi, Eric Bana! Long time no see! But why aren't you pretty?

Yea, I thought that too. I think it was contrived solely for the purpose of having young Kirk witness it being built. Sci-fi geeks everywhere are going to cry foul on this one.
