Brief Review of Twilight

caitriI really liked this film--much more so than the book actually. The director and writer did a *lot* towards making Bella palatable to a feminist audience. As one of my friends said last night, "They actually gave the characters character!"

Am very snowed under right now with work. I have to: grade papers, write a grant, transcribe some interviews, do heaps of database entry, get out another article, and oh yeah, help man the reference desk. Whee!

Date: 2008-12-06 12:47 am (UTC)I had conversations with my boss and associate dean (that they initiated) along the lines of "hey we know you're working hard, and your awesome, but if you want to not take on something, just let us know, and if you need anything, let us know, okay?"
According to Scott that was probably brought about by the fact that I've "looked horrible all week."
I guess I feel loved?
