caitriScott and I were discussing this over brunch this am.
Thematic speculation with minor spoilers under the cut.
Scott pointed out the myth of Echo--and how she was in love with Narcissus and what happened then. Spoilers indicate that Paul Ballard is going to form a romantic obsession for/about/with Echo. This will be interesting for a couple of reasons.
1) Ballard as Narcissus: Ballard is obsessed with moral justice. To "save" Echo would be to assert his own moral superiority. Is love of Echo the same as love of himself?
2) If this is true, we may get to see Tahmoh Penikett in some new territory. On BSG Helo is consistent the One Good Guy in the fleet. How will it be to play a "Good Guy" with some serious ego hangups?
