Random Chattiness
Jul. 5th, 2009 04:21 pmSo the last few days has been a mini-vacation where I have done nothing constructive, played WoW, watched tv, read for sheer entertainment, and taken a lot of naps. It was AWESOME.
Hopefully will take my driving test this week. Driving still makes me nervous as hell and when I'm done my jaw hurts from being all clenched up, like when I'm flying. I can't emphasize how I dislike being in moving vehicles. *shudder*
I'm almost done with that Dr. Who chapter. Scott read it over for me and had some minor nitpicks, mostly on how the middle is sort of digressive. There's a point there, I just need to make it pointy. And then I will turn it in and I can do something that is else, which will be good.
Intermittantly studying for archival exam. I would feel better if there was a proper practice exam so I could have a sense of my strengths and weaknesses, but there's not, so I guess I'll be going in blind-ish next month.
Apparently Robin Hardy has started filming Cowboys for Christ which is a sequel of sorts to the original Wicker Man (y'know, the good one with the singing). It involves Texans going to Scotland to convert people into Christianity and that not really working out, which tickles me no end.
To conclude: I am desperate for rain. I miss the good hard rains of Maryland and Virginia with the white sheets of water. In Texas the sun just burns and burns and the grass makes crunchy noises. It is sad.
