Back Home, Safe and Sound

We're back home. Turtle is fine and the critters are well. There's still a hunk of the county evacuated but they expect the fire to die down tonight.

I think Varamathras has feline PTSD or something. He yowled his head off all last night. He was in a kitty taxi in a car, then got to hide under Carla's guestbed for a few hours, then back to the kitty taxi and home. So I'm not sure what he was upset about.

aww... I'm glad everything went OK. Zach had a momentary lapse of reason, but I was like "eh, they'll take care of the animals just fine".

Have they been behaving themselves?

Whence the lapse of reason, dare I ask?

Turtle has been fine. We are keeping him and Leroy in the guest room to themselves. Leroy hadn't been eating much but he had been eating prior to the evac. I usually went and there and cuddled with him a bit each night. Scott's gone in there a few times but we think Leroy blames him for the evac and he refuses to come out if Scott's in the room. Hopefully this will change while I'm gone.
