Review: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins

This is the sequel to The Hunger Games which I read earlier this year; it's the second volume in a projected trilogy. Let me just say this: You know how the second volumes of trilogies generally suck? This one doesn't. It rocks things. Hard. So if you're in the mood for dystopian post-apocalyptic narratives where the protagonist is a brave, moody, and generally clever teenage girl, read THESE.

Loved them both SO HARD. I made S delay dinner an hour while I was reading the first one because "OMG, they might get eaten my mutant dogs! I have to find out what happens!"

I made Scott read the first book a while back. He was reading pretty fast (I think he finished it over a weekend) and I asked him what he thought. "It's okay," he said. "Not that bad." Pause. "When's the sequel coming out?"

Pretty much his response to the second book too. %)
