Dark cool morning with rain, just like I like it. Woke up to knock on door as landlord took a wild hair to come plant a tree on the lawn.
No, seriously. Cos hey, it's a Sunday morning and raining, why wouldn't you want to plant a tree?
Don't get me wrong, I love trees. Even skinny looking little Charlie Brown trees of indeterminate species. It's the waking up on a SUNDAY after a really long week of being sick and then making up for it part.
Anyhow. Scott and I went to The Village Cafe for coffee and quiche. We both brought work but were too ADD to get anything done. Instead got into a mock-argument over the credentials of the Washington Post (I maintain it's a neoconservative rag; Scott maintains it's "really only two of the editors who are like that"--I shit you not).
Now we're home and Scott's listening to football. Alleria *really* wants to go play outside but she's already had lots of quality jumping into the mudpuddle fun so far. Poor puppy.
I should go write something, preferably academic. But I prefer to grouse on lj instead. It's going to be one of those days.

Sidewaysedly, still contemplating Friday's Dollhouse. Anyone else creeped out that the theme was LITERALLY taking over women's bodies? I heart Joss.

GRATUITOUS REMINDER TO LOCALS:
Sea of Mud exhibit opens at work on Friday. Be there or be, uh, um, just come okay?
