So I was enjoying this conference. People were seriously INTO the talks being given and I was look forward to some intense discussion as part of our presentation.

Yeah, two people came to our ninety minute panel this morning.

The FUCK, AAUP.

I guess two people is better than none, but I'm assuming the issue is the usual apathy the professoriate often has with academic librarians. (Sure, we have advanced degrees, teach, publish, take part in national and international committees and the like, but we're not real faculty like they are. *coff*HORSESHIT*coff*)

Sure, academia is being beset on all sides by attacks on academic freedom, tenure, and the bottom fucking line, but hey, everyone for themselves.

Grr. I'm annoyed.

I'm gonna go cheer myself up by writing fic.

Yeah, I should probably have taken into account who I was talking to. Also, my Chris collection is pitiful when compared to my Karl collection so I'm about 110% sure I'd lose.
