Happy Samhain!
Oct. 31st, 2010 11:10 pmSo it's been a rough few days, and I spent most of the weekend at work helping with exhibitey stuff. My Halloween was really last night when Todd and Jenni came over and watched the original Wicker Man with me (this is my Halloween tradition, ok?) and we had pizza. Anyway, I got home a bit before nine, and I had decided earlier that the best way to start off a new year would be by bring baked goods to work. I found a maple recipe I liked the sound of, but the frosting would have been too sweet and I was too tired to experiment, so instead I made yellow cake cupcakes with a simple ganache to take in. They look (and taste--I checked, quality control and all!) pretty damn good if I do say so myself:

So, Happy Samhain, everybody!! Be safe and happy!

Date: 2010-11-01 07:26 pm (UTC)B) You watched Wicker Man? Lucky you...I was forced to sit through all four of Disney Channel's 'HalloweenTown' movies - on pain of a confiscated candy stash, should I try to change the channel. They're just so BAD! So many things wrong! Such awful everything! (This is me being jealous of your grown-up movietime....)
