1) Good God that was exhausting.

2) I can't decide which episode of Buffy it reminds me more of: "Restless" or "Normal Again."

3) I liked Tom Hardy more than I expected to, but I really don't get Arthur/Eames fandom now.

It's ALL about that scene in the hotel room where Eames is worried about Arthur. ;-)

In my head, they get together, but only after Eames agrees to stop experessing his affection in third-grad-boy sorts of ways.

Okaay.

I came out with the impression they were projections of Cobb's and wondering why he had an ambiguously gay duo in his mind.

I really like the Arthur/Eames fandom for the most part, but I will admit that there's really zero basis for it in canon. I think it falls mainly under the heading of "pretty men are in the general vicinity of each other, therefore they're fucking."

I think I agree with this.

3) Probably because of "Dream a little bigger Darling" xD

(Which now means that most fics have him call Arthur Darling, and now I really want to write one that has him doing that purely to piss him off ;D)

LOL! That's a good reason to write a fic, I think!

You watched!
I'm just not sure you actually liked it?

I'm not sure either?

I AM sure I want to see a zero-grav fight sequence in the next Trek film though.

Well, that's something at least :D

And it should be doable, since they are actually in space.

I'm going to send you my next drabble tomorrow so you can have a beta free weekend with Scott instead of having to look at this Arthur/Eames thing you don't like at all :D

*shrugs* It's one of those films you need to watch at least twice - once for the ride, and once to catch everything.

Ditto on the Arthur/Eames thing though.

I dunno, it wasn't as deep as all that. I guess I just wasn't convinced by the SF aspects. It makes me want a movie based on Time Out of Joint or something much much more.

I don't know if it's supposed to be deep, really... it's just... idk, sort of like the whole question in The Matrix of "What is Real?" and you can take from it whatever you'd like on that point. I think the sucess of the movie is it's ambiguity, allowing just that.

3. It's like you're saying this JUST TO ME. D8 D8 D8

So truthfully, there isn't the basis there that you see for like Jim and Bones. Although in the AOS movie, you don't see the basis for K/S either, but look at that all over the place.

But in Inception, there's the fact that they have a history of some kind (all the snide remarks Eames makes and the way Arthur knows he's in Mombasa like he's been keeping tabs on him), and there's the way Eames interacts with Arthur that he doesn't do with anyone else, there's the "Dream a little bigger, darling" comment, and there's the affection between the two of them in the hotel room. It's all subtext, but OBVIOUSLY HOMOEROTIC SUBTEXT.

;)

Um, I'm really not? Cos you're CLEARLY not alone in this on my flist?? ;)

(Btw in AOS you see all kinds of evidence K/S Prime. I forget who wrote that the scene with the Spocks at the end was all about Spock Prime yelling "Kiss him! Kiss him!")

I just wasn't convinced by a lot of things in the film, even less so since I slept on it. The more I think about it, I think everyone were projections of Cobb's mind and mostly I want to know why his subconscious had an ambiguously gay duo. o_0
