Just explained to him that I'm looking up dictionaries so I can come up with names and roots for parts of a novel.

He suggested I name a planet Zorg. His twelve year old pointed out that that name was copyrighted.

Going to be flipping through the stacks after my shift...

Why, what do you guys do on weekends??

*snickers*

My weekends ususally involve more sleeping and less dictionaries....but, while packing boxes of books, it was pointed out by the Middlest Sis that I owned seven dictionaries (not to mention my thesauri). According to her, any more than five is overkill. ;-)

More than five, you say? How many thesauri before that becomes overkill? Because I'm pretty sure I have five...

Hmm, I'm not sure. Maybe three? Or nine? (I'm just spitballing numbers now...)
Also, I think there's a joke about a 'herd of thesauri' in here somewhere, though I'm not quite sure how to phrase it....

But would it be called a herd? Why not a drove, a flock, a pack, a fold...?

I write FanFictions when my extended family give me the time/space to do so. Today though (Sunday) I drove a few towns over to where they actually have decent shops ans spent $200 in less than an hour. Mind you $50 was a deposit for a friends mattress.

I think the shop lady thought we were a couple coz I asked the questions, then talked to my friend then paid for her deposit. Oh the looks!

It was priceless. Same thing in the computer shop, because I know a little about them, I had my 'work bag' which is caled a 'mail bag' with names of all these cities on it, Red Dwarf button and a 'Beam me up Scotty' badge. My favorite and rainbow sneakers. She had nice basic clothes, as usual. Talk about opposites.

We laughed, or I should say I laughed when I was driving home. I shouldn't wear those shoes in public, but Im cruel and I love embarrassing my friends.
