SNOW DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So this is the view from my window. Not much to look at, but the Uni decided to shut down anyway and my boss called me a little while ago, and then I got to call Lyndsey and Jenni.

It is ridiculous how excited I am for a single day off. I am torn between the possibilities that are playing WoW, writing fic, and watching movies. In the meantime, I've got hot chocolate.

I am so jealous!!!!!! Here it is freezing but no snow. In fact, it was so cold our pipes froze, then burst, and I had no running water yesterday. I was all pioneer like heating up drinking water on the stove. I was not pleased. I mean, I liked playing Oregon Trail when I was younger but I never wanted it to turn into a real life RPG.

I think the issue here is the fact that we had freezing rain last night so there's basically ice everywhere, more so than the snow. But that's literally cold comfort since we had to go in most of this week and there were rolling blackotus and several people had no heat or water and stuff, and we just are NOT equipped to deal with that sort of thing. I filled up a few pots with water in case of emergency, but if I lose my heat all I've got for me and the cats are blankets!!

I'm spending it writing thus far. I'm hoping I can finish my jim_and_bones Sweethearts fic today.

Although PLEASE explain to me how I took a prompt for a 500 word drabble I didn't even really want and it's going to end up around 10K. HOW?!?!?!

Some of my TX coworkers are posting to their facebook that the bridges were all iced over and such, so I guess not so pretty when you get a small way out.

We haven't had snow since the day after christmas here :(

Yeah I think the frozen ice is an issue too. I will still have to go in tomorrow for a few hours though.

Apparently the issue is icy road conditions more than actual snowfall. The Uni sent out a text message telling everyone to avoid driving if at all possible.

I almost want snow, except we have supidly high speed winds that can't decide on a direction, and very cold rain xD
