I can't believe it's been almost a decade since we met; it seems like the golden age of LotR online fandom was just yesterday! I was hesitant, as mainly a Hobbit girl, to read your Aragorn/Eowyn epic fic, but I'm so glad I did! Not only was it AMAZING, but it's what got us talking and the rest, as they say, is history.

Hal didn't realize that when I worked for him 26 years ago, I made off with a copy of his keys. Cleverly waiting a while so I wouldn't be the obvious suspect, I used them to break into the Cushing Collection late one night. Just as I was slipping the Tolkien papers into a satchel, I heard a noise, and there Cait was, dressed in full 60's Trek costume, talking into what must have been a toy communicator saying "I've looked and the tricorder readings are wrong. The Federation papers are NOT here. What? Dammit Jim, I'm an archivist not a cat burgler. Now beam me up now."

I must have hit my head on something, because my vision was clouded by some bright sparkly lights and Cait was gone. I think I blacked out quickly while she left. Always been meaning to ask her if she made that costume for a con. Looked really authentic.

It was Rio. Carnivale. We were dressed as parade dancers and you were doing a lewd lap dance for one of the carnivale dancers wearing a mask. When you went in for a kiss it was Chris Pine. You started screaming and I thought you were being attacked. I punched him and he bled all over your costume. But you laughed so hard that he forgave us both when he realized that I was trying to save a complete stranger. Then he bought us drinks and asked us back to the hotel for some fun. You know the rest.... I think it was Zach that bailed us out of jail later that night. I'm still a bit fuzzy about that but I remember waking up and seeing, oh hell you know what I saw. It took you two weeks to walk right after that little encounter. Good times.
