Okay, This Is a Good Sign
May. 4th, 2011 04:19 pmMy future creative writing prof was visiting with my boss today, so Larry brought him over and introduced us. We chatted very briefly and he told me what books he's thinking of having us read (Mailer's Armies of Night, Melville's short stories, Stead's The Man Who Loved Children, Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London). He said he's not sure about the final list yet but for me to go ahead and read the Mailer. Also, not to call him 'sir'. I explained that I was from Georgia and it's been drummed into me, but I could manage to call him "dude" if he insisted on it. He said he could work with that. Also he likes my action figures.
I think this is gonna work out splendidly.
