HALP, F-Listies, HALP!

I'm working on my fic-history article and I'm looking for two things:

1) Reboot K/S recs, preferably that use pon farr as the way the boys get together,

and

2) I *think* I saw this as a startrek!secret, but it's basically a fan describing how for the longest time they thought pon farr was fanon, and the discovery that it is canon made them believe Trek is the best fandom ever.

Thoughts, gang?

(Btw if you do a Google image search for pon farr you get a couple Michael Fassbender-as-Magneto pics and this entertains me like you don't EVEN know.)

I think the Magneto thing is because multiple tumblrs/ljs etc apparently have "pon farr" in their name, but not less funny. :D

And I wish I could find those Fassy pics you were talking about, but Google images is being stupid, and I can only see the first page of images, and there was no Fassbender. :(

Okay, Pon Farr is not my favorite trope, so I don't have a lot of recs, but I did really enjoy Silver Lining by awarrington which can be read here: http://www.ksarchive.com/viewstory.php?sid=1252&warning=1

Also, you could try the kirkspock comm. People are always really helpful there if you have requests. And you could also try their delicious archive: http://www.delicious.com/kirkspock which has all the fics that have been posted to that community listed by trope.
