So a friend of Todd's is selling her press: it's cheap, even, with a nice set of wood type and quoins. Because he is 1) moving it today and 2) EVIL, he sent me a text offering to put it in my house just so I can see how nice it would look there. AND he had to point out that this is my chance to start Enterprise Press.

*whimpers and covets*

Pros:
My own press!
It's cheap!
My own press!!!!

Cons:
I'm busy as is and will be more so when classes start.
Where would I put it? (the back room? STOP CAIT!) and it's heavy!
How often would I really get to print?

GRRRRRRR.

This is driving me a little crazy, though I do have time to think. Tht's probably a bad thing though. And he just HAD to point out how nice it would look in a new coat of NCC-1701 gray, which meant he probably had to look that UP to torment me. ARGH!

You don't need one. But... how much is she selling it for? Because I can pretty much guarantee that once you tell me, I will have a valid reason for you not to buy it :P

To be fair, it really is a good deal. On Briar Press, there's an identical press and ink plate going for $475 (but without the metal cabinet, cases of wood type -- themselves priced at $200 a font on eBay -- and the assorted other equipment like composing sticks, furniture, ink, and solvents). But the main argument is what you could do with it (that is, Enterprise Press and all the Common Grounds-related broadsides and publications anyone could want).

As a comprimise - get it put in at work, and use it to print off the new leaflets and posters and stuff :D
