So: An Update

The plumber came on Monday afternoon and replaced the tank. I went and bought a fan to start drying the area off and it's getting to where that area no longer smells (yay!).

Did a guest lecture for a scifi class yesterday; poor kids had no idea what they were getting into before ninety minutes of me. I tried to behave, I really really did. I even dressed mundane and didn't use profanity (well, much). They all have assignments to come in and pick something from the collection and write a report/do a presentation on it. Thus far I've gotten one email from a kid who was asking about Rush and I got to tell him about Michael Moorcock and the Rock 'n' Roll Swindle. Hee!!!

Caught up on True Blood. I wish the show were more like the books but I am ADORING Erik as innocent!(ish).

I've read them and I quite like the earlier volumes, but the length of the series is starting to kind of weight itself down. Charlaine Harris announced this week that the thirteenth volume (book eleven just came out) will be the last. I couldn't finish book 10, honestly. Books 1-8 are the strongest I think, and I atcually REALLY like books 1 and 4. The books are quite different than the series however, with the exception of 1.
