Because Sometimes I Do Have a Sense of Self-Preservation

I dropped out of stbb. This doesn't really mean all that much as I will still keep working on my stories, but with RL deadlines imminent it helps me feel ever so slightly less stressed. In a couple of weeks I'll be a grad student again AND turning in my tenure box and preparing my presentation, and I just want the illusion of breathing space.

So. Todd, Laura, and I finally finished that paper we've been working on for the past year and I submitted it today. I'm aiming to get my solo paper on Star Trek slash finished and out before classes start.

I also sent a bunch of random requests to the ILL department today, because that gives me such a feeling of schadenfreude. For your entertainment:

If it makes you feel less stressed, then do it! It's not like anyone is going to begrudge you, especially when you are doing so many awesome things at the same time :D

And OMG those books sound amazing - cannot WAIT till I can actually ask for books on the library system at uni! (we can recommend in first and second year, but we can only ask for them in third and fourth year)

Less pressure is a good choice when you've got so much on your plate. Makes me tired just reading all that!
