I got a new one that's part of the "pet series" so it's specially equipped to deal with animal hair and stuff. However, my husband found got an older model on overstock.com for his place and he adores it.
It's got a little bin thing I empty. But all I have to do is hit a button and then it runs around and vacuums. And when it is done, it puts itself back in its homebase to charge and turn off.
It's fun to watch. Like the first time it goes around the house exploring what it can get to (for instance, when it "feels" a step it stops and explores the edge, then pulls back and roams elsewhere), and then after that it just goes to work.
