hmmm. References to slightly obscure literature and/or poetry, or various SyFy, or, really, anything that you wouldn't immediately associate with the fandom in question.

And slightly left-field AUs/Xovers. Like, on the face of things, Jim shouldn't workd as a professor of metaphysical poetry, or a printer, but you manage to make it work.

Actually (and I realize I'm rambling by this point), I think a lot of your writing can be summed up quirky and slightly nerdy, but always enjoyable. So I guess that's what I always immediately look for.
