caitriSo I sent the rough final draft of Heaven is Bloodless (ie the postcolonialist critique, Star Trek AOS/Kushiel's Legacy epic o' doom) to my beta this afternoon. Current word count is ~52k and I'm honestly not sure how much clean up there'll be when all is said and done, but I'm really hoping to have it posted within the week. Um, so, I survived Christmas. I have a unique and special family that is(are?) the bastardization of William Faulkner and Tennessee Williams, and one day I'll write a charming memoir about it called Living Southern Gothic, but not today.
