Took a couple days off so I could have a whole week of "vacation", which has largely been me just doing homework and research and stuff. (Also, watching Game of Thrones with Scott, cos that's hugely important too.)

I did go see John Carter though, twice, and enthusiastically recommend it on the basis of good writing, gorgeous effects, and James Purefoy.

I need to batten down the hatches though and get some more writing done. I really do have the attention span of a flea. I worked on three stories in bitlets today and really only got some progress made on one-- the Greek one, incidentally, which I wasn't even planning on working on, and yet.

so. How are you guys?

*rueful grin* That's what I've been trying to work on and getting distracted from. I have the outline of which I have (of three parts) finished the first, part of the second, and have the epilogue. Basically 1.6 parts to go if life and my attentionspan would cooperate. sorry to keep you waiting so, bb!

Yay, I am on spring break as well and I refuse to do anything remotely like "work." Not picking up a book, doing a math problem, I'm not even worried about doing any writing, I'm enjoying turning off my brain for a week. I am curious about John Carter, while it's being eviscerated by the critics, so was This Means War and I absolutely loved that, so, critics can pretty much suck it when it comes to "fun" movies, also, Taylor Kitsch in a loincloth. I mean, really. Hope you continue to enjoy your break!

JC was a lot of fun and very well done. As near as I can tell, the entirety of the hostility stems from the desire for schadenfreude-it has a great cast, great director, and great writers and it's a scifi flick: how dare they! Go see it and enjoyyour break, bb! *squish*

It's spring break up here as well. I went in to the office a couple of times, but the place was so deserted that I couldn't think very well. (I need other working people around to trick my brain into being focused.) But J. is working from home today, so maybe I can too. That would be a good thing.

In semi-major life news, we're buying a place up here; we went for the inspection yesterday. (Note: you should come & visit!) It's pretty spiffy (probably too spiffy for me), and it has a purple room. We're plotting where to put all of the bookshelves. (But it also has some built-in bookshelves! :-)

I hope you enjoy the rest of your break! Love to you & S.

Ooooh! Is it a house, apartment, townhouse....?

Scott and I were actually talking about visiting you guys the other day. We need to sit down with our calendars and figure out when the moons are in alignment!

John Carter was well written? Oh good; I was going to see it anyway because it looked fun and the lead looks lickable, but that's good news.

Written by Michael Chabon of "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay"--which if you haven't read, you NEED to. It also has James Purefoy and Ciarn Hinds in minor roles basically playing MarcAntony and Caesar all over again, which made me SQUEE!
