(I still say I want the TED talk Tony Stark would give. Todd maintains this is disrespectful to real brilliant people to want to hear about a pretend brilliant person, but I maintain it's not my fault that I tend to prefer pretend people to real people, period.)

Tony Stark probably would give an unforgetable TED talk. (This so has me picturing talks by various characters in various fandoms, so thanks for that.)

And it's not your fault for prefering pretend people. They do tend to be more interesting.

See, Nick Fury would TOTES sign up the Avengers to do TED talks. Tony would talk about the necessity of using technological innovation for world peace. Steve would talk about the importance of valuing and not compromising ideals. Bruce would talk about improving measures for radiation safety. Natasha and Clint would try to get out of it, but then Natasha would talk about how you know what's right and how to serve the greater good. (Public school teachers will use her and Steve's talks as examples of arguments and there will be a flurry of debate team enrollment for about a year in high schools across the country.) Clint will finally man up and end up giving a surprisingly inspirational talk about how you can come from a pretty crummy background and identify your personal best skills to become the best at what you do. His talk will actually be the most downloaded that year and Tony will pretend to be bitter forever.

If I was anything resembling a speechwriter, I'd see what I can do for you. As it is, maybe I'll mention it in a fic or something sometime.

(Also, if the movie people were clever, they would try doing something like that as an intro for the next Iron Man movie. Because you *know* Tony totes listens to those things in his workshop.)
