Thank the GODS the writers continue to improve on the Willoughby storyline. I thought his entire speech/performance was well done both in terms of the actor's performance and for the character. Also, I approve of how Claire continues to call him Yi Tien Cho, because respecting names is fucking important.

There was the conversation with Lorca earlier about how Stamets could use the highway to touch pockets of space-time and even parallel universes, which I think sets up "when not where" pretty strongly. Some potential whens: The future (which would explain 1) why we never see this technology--it was "lost" and 2) we have heard nothing about Michael); the past (what if it was possible for them to save Georgiou and the Zhenzhou....but that would be mucking about with timelines....dare they do it?); the MIRRORVERSE (It has to happen sometime, c'mon). *flail*

1) That WOULD explain the fact we haven’t heard about Michael; it’s true...but it would be pretty disconnected from the the ST universe then? Although, of course, Boldly Go, and so on.

3) Seems most likely given the imagery and clues so far, I think. Conuly’s favorite theory is that this is a new timeline with a new mirror-verse.

1) Having a conversation on social media, I said the best thing about the Discovery inadvertently going to the future would be "Spock had a sister??" as a running joke, and a friend said the best thing would be a cameo with Michael Dorn where L'Rell loses her shit at Starfleet Admiral Worf.
