Book Meme: Day 7
May. 18th, 2020 05:17 pm I have accepted a challenge from Nancy Underwood Honeycutt to post seven books I love; one book per day, no excuses, no reviews - just covers. I will ask a friend to take up the challenge to promote literacy and create a book list. Today I'm tagging Hal W. Hall!
This is the last day of the challenge, although I'm probably going to keep posting books I like because I find all the book covers on social media remarkably soothing. Anyhow, I do want to say a few words about this choice: AO3 has been around for over a decade, it currently holds six million works, and it's a brilliant stand-in for all the books that aren't "books" because they aren't "published", as well as all the writing by women that isn't acknowledged (the 2013 AO3 census records that of the respondents, 80% are women, 4% are men, and 16% are non-binary, genderqueer, trans, or other). So <3.
